.:.HUMILITY.:.
There is a difference between being Humble and
not Knowing Your Worth.
Society and all it splendor has found a way to
make those who are gifted feel less
and those who are weak feel strong. In the classroom
a student can be ridiculed for knowing all the
answers. In the workplace
people are made to feel like over achievers for
going the extra mile to complete a task.
What I want people to know is there self worth. As a child I
was always told to never BOAST or BRAG.
That lead me to be too meek and mild. I had a
feeling of guilt rush over me if
I ever spoke out about my talents.
I will admit I am fortunate I have many talents.
However that tends to cause people to thing I am trying
to hard to be someone or trying hard to outshine
so I'd under-perform. Eventually this left me in the back of many performances
when I knew I had what it took to shine.
I learned that there was a difference between being humble
and not knowing my worth.
It is not your fault that you are good at something and someone else
is not. You have every right to not only have talent but
to use and talk about it.
Never let anyone make you feel like your showing off
because you are proud of who you are!
